Water: tap water up to the MAX line, 180 ml · Cycle: tap once for 5 minutes, twice for 10 · After: empty it, wipe it dry, leave the lid open

Your first clean

Always add water before you plug the cleaner in and switch it on. Running it without water can damage it.
Why water goes in first
  1. Open the lid and pour tap water into the stainless steel tank, up to the MAX line.
  2. Put your retainer, aligner, dentures or jewellery in, so they sit fully under the water.
  3. Close the lid. Only then plug it in and tap the button.
  4. Never fill above the MAX line.
1 Find a flat, dry spot. Stand the cleaner on a level surface near a socket, away from heaters, hobs and anything hot.
2 Add water. Open the lid and fill the tank with tap water up to the MAX line (180 ml). Do not overfill.
3 Put your items in. Your retainer, aligner, dentures, mouth guard or jewellery should be fully covered by the water. For stains or a smell, add 5 to 10 ml of washing-up liquid or a denture cleaning tablet.
4 Close the lid and plug in. Close the lid first, then plug the adapter into the cleaner and the wall. The display lights up briefly.
5 Tap to start. Tap the button once for a 5-minute daily clean, or twice for a 10-minute deep clean. The display counts down in seconds, from 300 or 600.
6 Let it run. You will hear a buzzing sound, which means it is working, and the UV lamps in the lid light up. Keep the lid closed, and stay nearby while it runs.
7 Finish. It switches itself off when the countdown reaches zero. To stop early, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. Unplug it, take your items out and rinse them under running water.
8 Empty and dry. Pour the water away, wipe the tank and the outside dry with a soft cloth, and leave the lid open for a few minutes to air dry.

The button, the cycles and the display

Tap the button once5-minute daily clean. The display shows 300 and counts down
Tap it twice10-minute deep clean. The display shows 600 and counts down
Press and hold for 3 secondsStops the cycle and switches the cleaner off

UV lampsSwitch on by themselves during every cycle

Which cycle? The 5-minute clean is for every day. Use the 10-minute deep clean for anything that has not been cleaned for a while, or for tougher stains.

The buzzing is normal. It is the sound of the cleaner working.

Tablets are optional. Plain tap water is enough for daily cleaning. A denture cleaning tablet or a little washing-up liquid now and then gives a deeper clean.

Use it for a cycle at a time, not for long stretches without a break. The manual asks you not to run it for a long time or continuously.

Looking after your cleaner

  • After every use, unplug it, pour the water away and wipe the tank and the outside with a soft cloth.
  • Leave the lid open for a few minutes so the tank can air dry.
  • Wipe the tank regularly, so hard water does not leave a build-up.
  • Never rinse the cleaner itself under the tap or put it in water. The water goes in the tank only.
  • Store it in a cool, dry place.
Only the stainless steel tank should ever hold water. Keep the outside, the button and the plug dry.

Safety: please read first

  • Always add water before you plug it in. The water must not go above the MAX line.
  • Keep the cleaner and its cable away from heat, and stand it on a dry, level surface.
  • Do not leave it plugged in and running with nobody around.
  • Never put the cleaner in water, and never touch the plug or socket with wet hands.
  • Do not add harsh or abrasive chemicals to the water.
  • If the cable or plug is damaged, if it stops working properly, or if it falls into water, unplug it at the wall and stop using it. Contact us.
  • Never take it apart or try to repair it yourself.
  • Do not run it for a long time or over and over without a break.

Your questions, answered

What can I clean in it?

Retainers, dentures, clear aligners, mouth guards and night guards, sonic toothbrush heads, and jewellery such as rings, earrings and watches. The tank holds 180 ml, which fits a full set of dentures. Keep out anything whose colour may run, jewellery with loose stones, and soft materials like pearls.

Is it safe for my aligners and retainers?

Yes. It works at 42,000 vibrations a second, which is gentle enough for clear aligners, Hawley and Essix retainers and thermoplastic trays.

What liquid should I use?

Plain tap water is all you need for daily cleaning. For a deeper clean, add 5 to 10 ml of washing-up liquid or a denture cleaning tablet. Do not use bleach, mouthwash or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage some materials.

Do I still need cleaning tablets?

Not every day. Tablets clean by soaking, while the cleaner shakes dirt loose with vibration, including from places a tablet can miss. Many people use plain water every day and add a tablet now and then for a deeper soak.

How does the UV work?

Four UV lamps inside the lid light up during every cycle. The manufacturer states they target 99.9% of common bacteria, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Why does it buzz?

The buzzing is the sound of the cleaner working. It is normal.

Can I open the lid during a cycle?

Keep the lid closed while it runs. To stop early, press and hold the button for 3 seconds, then open it.

How do I stop a cycle early?

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. Otherwise it switches itself off when the countdown reaches zero.

What if my cleaner stops working?
