Questions, answered
Why do I get two heads for every vial?
Every vial of serum comes with its own fresh roller head and its own fresh stamp head, so each box holds 4 heads for 2 vials.
You use one head per treatment and throw it away, so you never have to clean, sterilise or reuse a head. Having both lets you try each one and see which works best for you. The other head for that vial is a spare.
Most competitors provide one device and expect you to buy refills separately or sterilise it yourself.
What is the difference between the roller head and the stamp head?
The roller head has 1 mm steel-coloured needles. You push it straight onto the opened serum vial, and the serum flows through the needles as you roll it across your skin in smooth strokes. It reaches deeper into the skin, so your skin needs longer to settle: use it no more than once a fortnight. It suits larger, flatter areas such as the forehead, cheeks, jawline, neck and décolletage.
The stamp head has 0.25 mm, 24K gold-plated needles and sits on its own small bottle. You pour the serum into the bottle, then press the head onto your skin, lift and move on. A valve lets the serum out only when you press. It is shallower and gentler, so you can use it every week. It suits smaller, curved areas: around the nose and mouth, the cheekbones, the chin and near the eyes.
Which head should I use?
It is your choice, and you can choose again for every vial.
If you want to treat every week, the stamp head is gentle enough for weekly use. The roller head goes deeper, so use it no more than once a fortnight. To use both, alternate them: stamp in week 1, roller in week 2, stamp in week 3, roller in week 4. That uses the 4 vials in the 1-month kit.
What is micro-infusion?
Micro-infusion means applying a serum through very fine needles. With the roller head, the serum flows through the needles as you roll. With the stamp head, it comes out each time you press the head against your skin.
Applied this way, the LUXE Peptide Infusion Serum absorbs up to 300% better than serum applied to the surface.
How often should I use it?
One treatment a week, in the evening. The stamp head can be used every week. The roller head is deeper, so use it no more than once a fortnight. If you use both, alternate them.
Each treatment uses one vial and one head. A box holds 2 treatments, so one box lasts 2 weeks and the 1-month kit (2 boxes) lasts 4 weeks.
How do I open the serum vial?
Use the free stainless-steel vial opener that comes with every order. The vial is glass, with an aluminium cap over a rubber stopper.
- Stand the vial on a flat surface and hold it by the glass. Hook the tip of the opener under the tab on the metal cap and lift it up to break the seal.
- Keep pulling the tab back and round the neck of the vial with the opener until the metal strip tears away, then lift off what is left of the cap.
- Pull the rubber stopper straight up and out. Keep the vial upright so no serum spills, and do not squeeze the glass.
Use the opener, not your fingers: torn metal edges can be sharp.
Does the stamp head go onto the vial too?
No. The vial takes the roller head only. For the stamp, unscrew the stamp head from its bottle, pour in the whole vial of serum and screw the head back on firmly. Then turn it head-down for 30 to 60 seconds so the serum reaches the head.
The serum runs quickly through the roller. Is that normal?
Yes. The roller head sits straight on the vial, so serum can run freely through the needles. For your first session with the roller, work over a basin, and tilt the vial to control the flow.
The stamp head works differently. Its valve lets serum out only when you press it against your skin, so it will not pour onto your face.
Is at-home microneedling safe?
Every roller head and stamp head is sterile, individually sealed and single-use. The serum has been independently safety assessed under EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC 1223/2009), with a full toxicological review confirming all ingredients are safe at their concentrations.
If you have an active skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis or open wounds, consult your GP before use. If irritation or a rash occurs, stop using it. Please do not share the heads or the stamp devices with anyone.
What certifications does this product have?
The serum is safety assessed under EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC 1223/2009) with a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) by a EUROTOX-registered toxicologist. It is notified with UK authorities (SCPN) and notified on the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP). The manufacturer holds GMP certification (DEKRA) and is registered with the US FDA as a cosmetic product facility. Heavy metals, microbiological quality and stability have all been independently tested.
Does it hurt?
You will feel it, and how it feels depends on the head. The roller gives a light prickle as it rolls, and you may feel it more under the nose and around the lips. The stamp feels like light tapping with a slight tingle.
Use lighter pressure around the lips. Your skin may look slightly pink for a few hours afterwards. This is normal.
How is this different from a plain derma roller?
With a plain derma roller, you apply the serum separately afterwards. With this kit, the serum goes in while you treat: it flows through the roller needles as you roll, or comes out of the stamp head each time you press. Applied this way, serum absorbs up to 300% better than serum applied to the surface.
Every head is also used once and thrown away, so there is nothing to clean or sterilise.
What ingredients are in the Peptide Infusion Serum?
The full INCI is: Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Oligopeptide-1.
The key ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Oligopeptide-1 (EGF) and Glycerin. The serum helps your skin look more hydrated and has a pH of 6.0 to 7.0.
When will I see results?
Everyone's skin is different, so we do not give a timeline. Used once a week, the serum helps your skin look more hydrated and visibly smoother, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Can I use it if I have sensitive skin?
The serum contains no fragrance, parabens or sulphates, is cruelty-free and has a pH of 6.0 to 7.0. It has passed a full EU Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) under Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, and is assessed as safe for normal use by EUROTOX Registered Toxicologists. Of the two heads, the 0.25 mm stamp head is the gentler one.
If you have a serious skin condition such as rosacea, eczema or active acne, please consult your doctor before use.
Can I use it on my neck, around my lips and near my eyes?
Yes. Both heads can be used on the neck, and the roller also suits the décolletage. Use lighter pressure around the lips.
Near the eyes, keep at least 1.5 cm from the waterline and never use either head on the eyelids. The stamp head suits the small, curved areas around the eyes, nose and mouth.
What's in the box?
Every box contains:
- 2 vials of LUXE Peptide Infusion Serum (5 ml each)
- 2 roller heads (1 mm, sterile, individually sealed, single-use)
- 2 stamp devices (0.25 mm, 24K gold-plated, sterile, individually sealed, single-use)
That is 4 heads for 2 vials, or 2 treatments. The stamp devices come in the same parcel, packed next to the kit box. Every order also includes a free stainless-steel vial opener, and the 6-month bundle adds a black LED Light Therapy Mask as a gift.
Can I reuse a head?
No. Every roller head and stamp device is sterile and made for one use only. Use a fresh one for each treatment and dispose of it safely afterwards. Please do not share heads or stamp devices with anyone.
How does this compare with an in-clinic treatment?
Professional in-clinic micro-infusion facials typically cost £200 to £350 per session.
This kit works out at £12.25 a treatment on the 1-month kit and £8.25 a treatment on the 3-month kit, and you treat at home with no appointment to book.
Can I use my own serums?
Please use only the LUXE serum supplied. Other serums may contain ingredients that could irritate your skin when delivered below the skin's surface.
What comes with the 6-month bundle?
12 boxes (24 treatments, 48 heads), one stainless-steel vial opener and a black LED Light Therapy Mask as a gift.
The mask has 3 pre-set light modes and 3 intensity levels. Each session lasts 10 minutes and the mask switches itself off. It charges by USB in 4 to 5 hours and cannot be used while charging. Use it 2 to 3 times a week. It comes with a remote controller, USB cable, eye goggles, adjustable straps and a QR user guide, has a 1-year warranty and is for ages 16 and over.
